I use Microsoft Outlook 2003 on my laptop and PI 2005 on my x50v. I have a few recurring tasks that I set up in Outlook that have a reminder alarm set for certain times. The tasks transfer fine each time they are regenerated by Outlook, but the reminders on my Axim always go off at 8:00am. Is there any way to fix this so that the reminders go off at the times that are set in Outlook?

Pocket Outlook does not allow you to set the reminder time for Tasks, even though Outlook allows you to set the time on your desktop. Maybe you can set these in Pocket Informant or change them to Appointments which can have customizable reminder times.
