OK Stupid, if you delete this file, you will not be able to access outlook any longer.

A chance like this comes along only once in a lifetime, and that doesn't happen very often.....

I don't think poutlook.lnk is required in startup. I just checked my Startup folder, and it's not there. You can just manually start calendar, contacts, etc. functions by going to Start - Programs instead or by searching for the .exe file (e.g., calendar.exe) in the Windows folder.

It's a link into Pocket Informant. I deleted it and everything still works just fine. Check the details of the shortcut if you are unclear about any shortcut.

Okay, I guess we know who's stupid now ...

Anyway, I deleted this shortcut as well. It also helps with the bootup specially with PI + WM5 together...

It's also possible to delete the SplashV shortcut from Startup.

It is only used on a hard reset and is actually rather annoying then, too. See this for more detail.

Good to see that I'm not the only one who has deleted the poutlook. I deleted mine when every time I soft reset my unit, the very first program trying to start was PI 2005

(: Just for kicks I added a 3D Game on the Startup... it worked pretty awesome... so i figured I'd throw in the Switcher Bar.... the Switcher bar seems to have a screwed up icon... has anyone else tried this? If so, do you get the same screwed up Icon when you do a soft reset?

I still don't know what poutlook.lnk is for, but finally have it removed from the startup. I only have the following now in the startup and my Axim becomes more stable with no lost of functionalities (at least I don't know yet, reminder, wifi, emails, sync all works) :

Magic Button
Services
WirelessIcon
Apple MP100 --> MP130 --> MP2000 --> Dell Axim 51v

With Resco Explorer, navigate to \Windows\Startup\ and select a shortcut by tapping and holding to bring up the menu, select Properties from the menu, select the shortcut tab, and the target will tell you what the shortcut actually runs.

Almost exactly like the startup shortcuts in PC Windows.
