So, I disabled wireless and turned off my x50v a few minutes ago. I sat it on my desk near my laptop. Then my laptop made it little alert noise telling me that another computer was near by (infrared ports were aligned). I picked up my Axim, which was still off (the screen was off anyway), and the laptop made its noise indicating that the infrared connection was broken. I sat the Axim (still off) back down, connected again. Hmm.

I went into the connections tab on the Axim and unchecked the box to receive all incoming beams. Now it doesn't connect.

So, does the Infrared port not turn off with the rest of the device? What's the deal?
