Switcher Bar

I have only had one consistent problem with my Axim in the year I've had it. Sometimes after turning on the switcher bar, I accidentally close it. When I go back into settings and look for switcher bar, the icon to open it has disappeared! Only way to get it back is a hard reset. Anyone else encounter this problem? Anyone know a fix?

Yes I've experienced a 'missing switcher bar icon'. My current set-up is to have switcher bar load up at start-up, then if I do close it by accident the icon to re-load is usually still there. In any event, I always found a soft-reset would resolve it.

Another thumbs-up for MagicButton from here. If you happen to also be running SPB Pocket Plus, work with the close settings to resolve any possible conflicts between the two products.

I've had this Switcher Bar bug happen to my x51v a few times, where the Switcher shows no running programs but Settings/Memory does:

Going to try MagicButton...

That happened to me once with Magic Button, too. I had it installed in built-in storage. I recently re-built my device and put MB in main memory. Lo and behold I realized that it was not functioning properly at all in the built-in storage. It wasn't closing programs. The "keep alive" function wasn't working right, etc. Now, it works perfectly! Of course, some other weird thing might have been wrong with the previous install, but now, I am really glad I have MB!

Switcher bar's junk. There's loads of superior alternatives, Magic Button being a great one!

Yeah, it's a pity Vbar hasn't been fixed. It'd be ideal if it didnt have that annoying problem - which ironically is a 2 minute fix I'd wager...
