Edit Autocorrect

I successfully editted the \windows\autocorrect.txt file once and added some of my favorites. Then I had to do a hard reset and I cannot edit it again. Why? Each time I try, it says that another application is using the file. I have turned off all programs and reset the PPC. I have unchedked the replace text as you type in settings. No joy. Reset, reset, reset, reset and so on. Any ideas?

Ok, I found a way. I renamed the original Autocorrect.txt file and then pasted a copy of my edited file. It worked. I still cannot delete the renamed autocorrect file. I do not know why. It is not read only.
