Question Software designed for older version?!

Hi all,

I've had an Axim X3 for a while now. I got it all kitted out with all the software I needed and its working great.

I have just brought from a friend an X50v, It had A02 ROM, so I went to the Dell site and popped on A05, all ok and working fine.

I started to install all my usual apps, on installing some of the programs I was given the message:

"The program you have installed may not display properly because it was designed for a previous version of Windows Mobile software"

Is this going to mean that the apps won't run? Is it a big problem? I'm running 2003SE

From the top of my head, the main programs I noticed had this message were: Real player, MSN Messenger update.

Any help / advice would be great.

A lot of programs will leave this message during install, even when they install without any problems. Just tap OK, and continue. BTW, you shouldn't need the MSN Messenger update.

It means it was designed for 2003 not 2003SE but there is no problem.
I have a x30h and this message pops up nearly all the time when i install a software since it has 2003SE as well and everything is fine.

*edit* Damn Gigi is sooooo fast.

It has to do with the built-in landscape function of SE. A lot of programs either cannot be forced into or work well in landscape mode.
