Dell chat says when we down grade you lose your BIS (or it's now RAM) but it does show more than 62M available - any help?

when you upgrade you loose your bis. eg BIS becomes what ram used to be before the upgrade. after the upgrade ram is only used to run programs.

Yes, I understood that when going to WM 5.0, I've now downgraded to WM 2003SE and don't have BIS or "extra" ram left over. I only have 64 MB total......

In WM2003SE, BIS comes from leftover ROM not RAM.

I'm not telling anybody about how bad the DELL support is, but I had to try. Three hours and three people later (amazing how you keep getting kicked out of chat)and no clue as to why B.I.S. is missing now that I'm back using 2003SE (which is workig great except for the BIS)

I was on for 7 min this morning, and hve a new file to try !!

I'll let you know.

EDIT update:
tried to go to WM 5.0 again so I could download to WM 2003SE again. Froze during upgrade (wonder if the BIS had an effect) with the logo and only a little of the upgrade bar that had moved. BUT, THE GOOD NEWS, after owning my x50v for over a year, they are sending me a replacement !!!!! If I get it, and it works, It will be worth the 3 hours of DELL chat.
