Startup Programs
I'm my startup folder I have the following apps that run on start, any one shed any light on what they do and if there needed?
BTTrayCE odClientCeAutoLaunchSmart.exe poutlook SplashV WirelessIcon Can any be removed or are they needed for safe running? DJAd | ||||||||

BTTrayCE - Bluetooth tray icon, can be deleted if you dont use bluetooth
odClientCeAutoLaunchSmart.exe -Oddysey Client, i think poutlook- Outlook mail program SplashV- Dell splah screen, i think WirelessIcon- wifi tray icon Most of these will come back if you delete them, except i wouldnt mess around with the splash one. | ||||||||||

You can delete any of them that you wish and add others as you see fit; however, some may be useful to leave.
I deleted poutlook and splashv. | |||||

The odClientCeAutoLaunchSmart.exe cannot be deleted. It will be re-created. It provides a link to launch the Odyssey Client when needed. For most home WiFi, it is not needed. I trick the system by replacing it with a text file that contains 1 character "a". First, create a text file (from desktop) with the same name. Rename it so that its extension is ".exe". Drag the desktop ".exe" over to replace it. When the system sees its there, it won't create it. This way, I've a 2b file instead of an 8K file.
