My Documents folder

Is there a hack/tweak or utility to allow Pocket Word and Excel to see beyound the My Documents folder? I seem to have had that ability in the past, but lost it when making some modifications. Hitting All Folders used to show stuff even on the Storage Card.

Thanks,

Geoff

If you create a folder called My documents in your SD card, deleted the Ignore_mydocs files form the card too, Excel and Word will look at the My Documents folder of your SD card for files.
If you get dead silence after breaking the speed of sound, would you be in the darkness after passing the speed of light?

Hmm.. word and excel on my ppc look at the entire directory structure, including sd and cf cards.

I don't store many things in main memory, it's all on my SD card, and when I go into word, they are all there. There's no My Documents folder, just a Personal and Work one.

But the Ignore_mydocs file is gone for this to happen.

This is a response from a forum on the PocketPCMag site:

"Create a file named 'ignore_my_docs' in the root directory of your storage card."

-Menneisyys

that did it! a while back, i deleted that file under the mistaken assumption that i could then activesync my documents on the storage card.

If you don't mind me asking, were you ever able to activesync your "my documents" folder to the storage card? I've had my x51v for a while now, and I'm looking to do that instead of manually moving things over.

No. I store most files on the storage card and then use MobSync.
