Citrix scaling problem

I regularly use Citrix CE client on my X50v to log into my works VPN and access my files etc.

I first used this route over bluetooth to my Nokia 6310i on an HP IPAQ 1940 before I migrated to the much better Axim.

Although the CE Client works well, I've always had the problem that once I connect and run my Citrix session, I can't zoom into the screen at all.

This results in a very small screen size with tiny fonts. This is workable, but a steady hand on the stulus is needed to click the correct area on the screen etc.

I've just downloaded the latest CE client (8.46xxx) which I hoped may slove my problem, but no joy. I've ploughed through all the documentation on the Cirix site but to no avail.

Has anyone else seen/got/resolved this problem?
Can anyone else zoom their citrix session sucessfully??

Any suggestions appreciated.

I use an earlier version (7.07.....) with no problems. I have zoom boxes and a pan box across the bottom of the screen on my x3i. I usually keep it large and pan around the screen. Have you tried totally removing the client and starting again?

Thanks for the reply.
I have tried totally removing and re-installing (I've just done it again this afternoon to be extra sure!) no joy.

I too get the plus, minus and pan box along the bottom, the pan box toggles the grey 'mini box' on and off in the top right corner OK, and the pan box itself manipulates the screen around where I drag the stylus. The problem is with the zoom. It just plain refuses to zoom in.

I'm getting to the stage where I think there is some default setting that I've not got right. surely other x50v uses can zoom OK? I'm not the only one using citrix on an Axim.....
The Citrix site isn't too much help

I guess I'll just keep on squinting !

I wish I had the answer for you. Here is how my global setting are listed. This may help:
Disable server IME is checked
Custom x,y = 0,0
Default pan location = top left
Default colors - 16
Default size - 480 x 640 ------ this might be the one that would help you.

My version is 7.07.20527

Thanks, My settings already reflect yours (apart from the screen, mine's 640x480 as I tend to work in landscape mode).

I'm sure the answer is out there somewhere!

I can't help but think it's something really simple, like a setting somewhere to do with the client software, I'm sure many others use it OK.

I tried Citrix Tech Support, but to be fair they only talk to corporate guys with real problems....

Thanks again, it isn't too much of a pain, really....

Citrix

Of course this probably won't be of any help, but version 8.46.38624 works fine on my Axim x30, able to zoom portrait and landscape with no problems.

Now if I could only get the Sonicwall VPN client to work on the PPC then i'd be in business.

Good luck,

Dan
