Worried WM5 and WM 2003

I have just bought a DEll Axim 51 (cheap) and it runs WM5. I have no experience with previous PPC OS's . I am encouraging a friend of mine to try an Axim, and he's looking at a Axim X3 from geeks.com.

Are there any features signifcantly lacking in wm2003 so that I would want to discourage him from picking this?

It's looks like a machine that should work, but I thought I would check for others opinions on the stuff that I amd not experienced with.

I'm currently using 2003 on my x50v and I see no problems whatsoever. I did the whole upgrade thing to WM5 and then rolled back to 2003. I am happy where I am.

The X3 will serve him fine. WM2003 is exceptionally stable. He won't be disappointed.

Your friend will love his Axim on WM2003. In fact you might want to trade yours for his! Maybe :0

that x3 has no wifi or blue tooth. I was looking at it my self so if you do not need those it should be fine.

The x30 mid is a better bet. 2003 SE is a better system (landscape mode is nice for spread sheets) and wifi/bluetooth is a real pluse. I have used the x30 models since they came out and I would stick with them. I am mostly a text guy. I do not use it for movies, games, or photos. I do play some music on it. Works fine, it is smaller, and the battery life is better than the X50/51 modles. That is all good for me. I would dump color and have a grey scale screen if I could increase batery life (again grieving Psion demise). That is my opinion.
