Aximsitex3icon VNC viewer..

I am trying to use my ax and my laptop with a vnc viewer...it asks for the host name.. what is that and where do I find it?

Did you install the VNC server on your laptop?

The host name is the IP address to your laptop (or it should be) - try that.

hmmm...might it help to install a VNC server and not a VNC viewer only on my laptop????... hmmm...where can I find a decent VNC server (and if possible, cheap, if not free)

I may be missing your sarcasm, and if I did, forgive me , but it should be with the installer for the client.

install vnc server on the computer that you are trying to access, and vnc viewer on the computer you are using to access your other computer with. you can also install the viewer on your axim.

The original VNC can be found at RealVNC. Personally, though, I have found UltraVNC to be the best because the server can be set to scale your screen. If you're on a QVGA device, and can read the smaller print, this gives you more screen space, which is kinda helpful.

Check out the documentation on their website, it has quite a bit of info on how to use it.

(Edit: Fixed QVA to read QVGA)
