Free-up RAM by installing to Built-In Storage or a memory card. Format your SD card FAT (FAT16) for a speed boost (FAT16 is faster). I reformatted my 1GB, and with thousands of files on it, I lost only about 1MB. More RAM available means SBLive's tip (above) will work better, you will be able to leave more programs open. Map not only programs, but also commonly used functions, such as screen rotate, to the buttons. I changed the Record button to screen-rotate on mine, and the Messaging button runs Mapopolis (maps and navigation program).
Also, if you don't get a response to a thread in a couple of days, try bumping the thread (just post a follow-up post). Also, try searching, as sometimes people don't bother to answer if it has been discussed extensively before. I always try to post a link or two if I see the thread. Also, post some details about your particular mobile device (fill in your MyPDA area, and your personal details also has a slot), including model, operating system (WM2003se? WM05?), programs you are running, and accessories (GPS, memory cards, etc).
