Exclamation WM2003 operating much slower

New at Aximsite and wasn't sure if this was the right category, but here it goes.

My PDA has been running a lot slower (from startup, clicking on the start menu which takes 20 seconds now, to opening up items from the settings menu, the list continues).

Does anyone know what causes this to happen and how to fix it, or does it mean it's time for the dreaded hard-reset of doom.

Thanx in advance.

If there is a thread already with this same program, please directed me to said thread.

Just do a soft reset. It's like rebooting your computer. Also make sure all your promgrams are shut down everytime you turn your Axim off.Welcome to Aximsite.

If you use pocket IE a lot you might want to clear the cache. I gained quite a bit of free space doing that and caching 15 days instead of 30.

Remember - with your x50, programs don't actually close, they just minimize. Eventually all the memory on your x50 will fill up and it will slow down. A soft reset (reboot) will clear the memory. There are ways to get around this (easy and free), if your interested.

Also, if you use Internet Explorer a lot on your x50, you may want to get a program that cleans all the cookies and temp files. Again, this will eventually fill up all of your x50 memory – then your x50 will slow down.

Yep, what they said. You might want to, if you chose to install programs to "Default' remove them and reinstall them to the BIS or a storage card.

WELCOME TO AXIMSITE!
