made a word docment on my ppc at work. synced to my laptop did an edit. emailed by my pc (no printer on my laptop). get a message that it can't be opened, my pc does not recognize what program made the document.

yes my pc has word. the message says (in part) ..a file type "password backup" (.psw)
a second message says windows word cannot open...need to know what program created it...

There are 2 possibilities here. Either the transfer to the laptop was no good, or the email went awry. Try to open the file on the laptop. Be careful to transfer it using activesync. If it is good there, then try to email it again. Or, just do the activesync transfer directly to your pc. Lots o luck.
jacdoy, if you plan to use Pocket Word for files that you might edit elsewhere or pass on to others you might want to do what I do. I've gotten in the habit of file save as .doc for all of my pocket word files.
As a frustrating aside: With so many different ways of moving pocket word files (other than ActiveSync) one would think that MS would include a translation filter for .psw in it's desktop version of Word............. Oh well.

:) love the picture. many years ago i studied for the rc priesthood, (paulist fathers who do a lot of ecumenical work). started singing at 60 (now 66) we sing a lot of that sublime music of the lutheran cantor bach. god bless your work. jack
