I have an Axim X50. Currently my internet connects fine, it says I have excellent signal strength and I can even download email when I am in messaging, however every time I try to go into internet explorer, it says "page cannot be found." I think one of the problems may be the fact that my Network Card says it connects to "work." I try to change it to "the internet" but everytime I click ok and then return to check that it has changed, it says it is back to "work." Is there something that is locked that I don't know about or may there be another reason I cannot view any internet pages? The internet has been fine before, I don't know what is different suddenly. Any help?
Thanks.

Well, this happened to me all the time, but I know how to solve this. Enable your wifi, and then (in wlan utility) click Settings-> find and tap the name of wifi network you're connecting to and here under the "network name" field tap "connects to" and select "The Internet". Then go to Start->Settings->Connections->Connections->Advanced->Select Networks. Make sure that the selected network is "My Work Network" and tap Edit. Then tap Proxy settings and check the "This network connects me to the Internet" checkbox. That should do the trick.
Yours sincerely,

In fact, 'Work' is usully the preferred setting if you are connecting to a network (as opposed to dialup) but both dropdown lists should be set the same. Try going into the network settings - Start, Settings, Connections (tab), Connections, Set up my Proxy server. On the Proxy server tab, check the top box (This network connects to the Internet) but leave everything else on this page blank. On the General tab, the name should be "My Work Network." OK and then select the Advanced (tab), Select Networks and select "My Work Network" from both of the pull down lists. 'OK' your way back to the Today page and soft reset.
If you still want to try 'The Internet' setting, follow the same steps I just outlined. As I mentioned, both dropdowns should be the same and the 'Proxy' field should be empty. If tapping the upper right corner for 'OK' doesn't work, some people have fould you can use the enter key on the on screen keyboard to get back to the Today page. It is important that you get back to the Today page before you soft reset..

Willski21, I've merged these two threads (since JohnMadDoe_CZ had already replied in the second one).
Please do not cross post. Since JohnMadDoe_CZ's suggestions were essentially the same as mine, your cross post caused me to waste my time replying.

I appreciate both of your reponses and I am sorry for double posting. However, my work network was already highlighted and the box to connect to the internet was already checked. Even after soft resetting the internet still "cannot find the page I am looking for." Anything else I should change?
