WELCOME TO AXIMSITE!! No, I don't think there is any FREE programs that are good. I would recommend Pocket Hack Master, but it costs 19.99. (13.99 right now, special sale). I am trying the trial, but I'm really thinking about buying it.

PocketHAckMaster keeps you OC'd even after the trial expires. I used the trial for nearly a year to OC my X5 Advanced to nearly 600mhz! Since I hard-reset, though, it cleaned everything up so nicely I am running as fast at 412mhz as I was at 597! I strogly suggest bakcing up and Hard Resetting first, then if you STILL need the extra juice, go ahead, but b e careful or you may turn your Axim into a expensive paperweight...

Well, YOU MAKE A HEAT SINK!!!

I have a Rhinoskin ALLUMINUM CASE!!!

Alluminum is METAL! METAL conducts HEAT!!

Put the two and two together.... you get the idea. Oh, one more thing. I built a little compartement to the back of mine....... filled it with water...... put it into the freezer.... you get the idea. It just gets really annoying to hold cuz it freezes your hand, so I put it on the table.

did you ever think about the condensation that ice creates? the "sweat" on a drink... you're gonna ruin your Axim if you're not VERY VERY VERY lucky and VERY careful...

Great idea though, if only it were somehow implimented differently...

Yes, I did. WHICH IS WHY YOU DON'T PUT IT ON DIRECTLY!!!

Note the Rhinoskin case, and note the extra compartment....

You may want to put a paper towel too, but that reduces the effectiveness.

Its not that hard, just take a bit of plastic, or whatever you have, maybe even a cd or something, and put it next to the Axim (to protect against condenstation)

Then, cut it to the right size, take more plastic, and make it the right size for your ice pack, a bit bigger so it can slide in and out, if you need to, and epoxy or hot glue it together.

Then, just tape, or whatever it on to the case, and there you go.

P.S. If you are using a case, depending on the case, you may not need to do the first step, as the case should protect the Axim from condensation.

P.S.S. On of those small floppy cases might work too.

Interesting... I donce did a similar trick with a laptop that had a burned out fan. I put an icepack in a (STURDY) cardboard box and placed the laptop atop the box. Worked fine (keep in mind the laptop was running a VERY light load, on purpose, for this reason. Under a heavy load I'm sure it would've burned up)

LOL! I'm not even sure the Dell's fan does much. I can hear it, can't feel anything.

Oh well, 180 is high enough for me
