People, from the Dell forums, a post made by a dell representative said that any axim bought after May 23rd will be able to get a free upgrade.. however I have phoned Dell sales this morning and said that he cannot tell me when it will be out in europe as it is not (Which is kinda odd) and I will have to pay for it.
Me thinks Dell is in a mess :/

Well, I have been looking, Windows Mobile 2003 has only been released in the UK, so the 30day thing would apply. If It has not been released in a certain country yet, the 30day thing only applies to 30 days before the release date in that country. I looked on the France, Germany and Spain dell websites and the Axims from those sites do not yet have Mobile 2003 installed on them. Thats telling me that it has not yet been released in those countries.

just wanted everyone to know i got my axim last friday 06-20-03 and this is what i got back from Dell.

I'm sorry but to get the upgrade, you will be required to return the original product back. You will then be credited for the products returned within 30 day's. If you want to return the product please mail back to me.

You can purchase then purchase the new upgraded pocket pc 2003 from our sales department.

Hope this helps anyone that just got there new Dell Axim!

Ok, I am going to call dell and try to fid out if I qualify for a free upgrade. What number do I call? Is there an extention to call? Is there any special person to talk to??

it should be 800-624-9897 x66966 then option 2 then option 4. that should get you to home Customer Care. Keep in mind that it does depend what kind of numnut you get on the other end. some of them rock, some don't know their ass from a hole in the ground. good luck!
