free tv remote control?

i'm after a free tv remote control for my x50, if it does dvd aswell then that would be good but tv is a priority as my remote doesnt work anymore.

I'll watch this thread to see about the free. But I have tried Vito (not free) and it was not repeatable. Sometimes worked sometimes not, I could not get it to learn at all. Novi seems great and only $16. Basic functions worked very well and it learned well also.

i'll have a look around for that novi one and if there's a free trial i'll give it a go and see if it works on my t.v

The only one I've seen is URC. You can only program it for only 1 device, and it's not extremely funtional, but it can "learn" a device. I actually don't think I ever got it to work on my x30, but I guess it's worth a shot.

Hrm, reread your post. URC may not be too helpful for you actually, since I don't believe there is a way to program it without using the old remote (As far as I know, no pre-set codes, for example).

Well I use TV remote controller 5.5 i dont know if its still the latest version cause i have this one for along time... its not free but, it has the capability to learn.. i also use this to turn on my aircon.. Cool:approve:
