How do I move a playlist and all songs in playlist to axim
Well what I wanna do is make a playlist and move the whole playlist (including song files) to the axim in a simple one or two step process. I have all of my music pretty much carelessly laid into the my music folder of my computer and it is difficult to pick out each individual song to move over.
I havent really settled on a music player so whatever player supports this I am in for and I can make the playlist in any format neccesary
I am moving away from my ipod and trying to switch to using my axim with a 4gb sd card instead and this is one function I miss. I liked the ipod but I was tired of carring around mutiple devices around school and I bought a shuffle for cheap for snowboarding and activities that could lead to a busted axim.
I know I can just move single songs over but I usually just throw together a playlist (usually in itunes just because I am used to it) then put it on my ipod and thats what I listen to for a few days, maybe a couple of playlists but whatever.
anyways after all that in short:
playlist (with song files) to axim easily
feel free to suggest proper player, playlist format, and such to accomplish this I am up for whatever
thanks for your help guys I hope this is possible
ps.
I am using an axim x30h with wse2003, also if there is another thread where this is discussed please link it if possible I searched with no luck
1st microsoft digital media edition plus and sync came up... but after alot of work to get it installed even though I had the cd from years ago I had a problem finding the authencity code it only sync wma files and the like.... wooo hoo right
which works beautifully for mp3, (not acc and the such)
oooooooooooooh and it does it through activesync... what amazing (pretty slow though)
so if your looking there it is, I am pretty proud of myself so tell me if it works for you cause I need the love hahhaha
i tried to sync that way but wm player couldnt seem to find my axim, I just assumed it was an unsupported device. I am still on activesync 3.8 and sync wirelessly (I use my axim as a morning alarm on my bedside table, seems I can only wake up if what I have to get up for is displayed, haha) so maybe that prevents me from doing it that way I didnt try through usb.
How do you go about syncing, just using the sync list or.... something I am missing???

Im having same problem. cant seem to load songs on my SD card unless I take it out and put the SD directly in my computer and load manually, then it doesnt get put into the WMP library... what a pain.
WMP does not go into specifics, neither does the Dell site. This seems to be my only hope. Somebody please answer?
OceanAxim and Matthewk, are you guys using WMP 10? The onlky thing I can think of is that maybe you have an older version of WMP on your computer that is not compatible with what is on the Axim.
Yes, WMP is very slow when syncing with the Axim. I always take out my card and sync it drectly into the computer.
Matthek, I have been thinking about switching my music to mp3 format. So, I may just try out the program you linked. I'll let you know how it works. :)
I sync through a wifi connection not usb so I am pretty certain that windows media player cant find me because of that. Id try usb but my axim cradle is in my room and the plugs are all behind the wall, just to much work.
Anyways I did end up trying wmp sync with the sd card in a card reader, though it worked perfectly I missed or forgot that they would all be in wmp format which I have to have mp3s because I use mortplayer and I cant give it up
Anyways I found a final solution that made me pretty happy though its not free. I download and purchased for 9.99 ppctunes (should be able to search here or google and find it) and it syncs itunes playlists (which I use from ipod days) with pda and lets you pick the storage media (CF, SD, BIS, ect). Though its slow it does excatly what I need and I am so far enjoying it.
The playlist sync I listed above worked well to but I got tired of converting my itunes playlists over, would have been fine otherwise

Wondering if you got that freeware playlist sync working or not, hope I can help with any problems you are having, you sound frustrated and that just shouldnt be the life of the aximer
Also wmp is a pain, if you use mp3s or are willing to convert mortplayer is an excellent freeware alternative. Good luck
