Transferring all the calendar.

From looking at previous posts I’m expecting a chorus of no’s, or more likely no replies but … Does anyone know of a way to transfer the whole PPC2003 calendar between two PDAs without using ActiveSync or the laborious "beam" one appointment at a time method.

If they are both Axims, try backing calendar up.
If not, maybe third-party programs like SPB or Sprite backup have such an option.

It is x5 to x50, as far as I am aware the data backup files are not compatible. I’ll check those two prices of software out. Guess they are probably not freeware though.

They have time-trial versions ;-)

If you're transferring from an X5 to an X50 you are upgrading Operating Systems as well; it's not a good idea to restore across Operating Systems like that. Even if it works ( and that is doubtful), you may end up with some problems.

Using ActiveSync is really the best and fastest way, unless you only have a few items to beam.

I would think if you install PI trial - back-up the database, re-install PI on your new device, and restore that it would work without any problem....

Of course it usually never works when you want it to work... lol...

Again AS would be the best solution.

SKTools has a backup PIM data option… maybe that would work?

I see. The reason I don’t want to use ActiveSync is because there are multiple devices to be transferred. Is there a simple way to clear the details from the PC after they have been transferred?

The "details" go to your desktop Outlook so if you want to clear it, you need to clear Outlook.

It was simple to clear when I actually looked. Setting current view to by category shows all the appointments, simply select and delete. What would be really nice is a single button/menu option that cleared all the details, e.g. calendar, tasks and contacts ... I’m never satisfied!

Thanks for the help people. :approve:
