Hello,

I have both Textmaker rev 406 and Calligrapher 8.3 install on my CF card.

If Calligrapher's write pad is loaded (@ reset or if call up on demand) Textmaker will not load.


Any ideas why?

Turns out that it was pocket informant that was the problem which I installed in BIS. It was the lastest version of Pocket Informant and apparently it isn't fully compatible with Calligrapher 8.3. So I unistalled it and problem solved.

Going to have to try the lastest Agenda fusion...

how did the problem show itself? I'm running PocketInformant 2007 along with Calligrapher and Textmaker and they seem to be getting along. wondering what troubles you had and how they appeared.

I installed PI and Calli in BIS.
Textmaker on my CF card.

If I checked the box on Calli to load @ reset, textmaker would not load. Just a perpetual spinning load icon.

If I unchecked tha box, did a soft reset, textmaker would run. And I could then choose Write pad. But if I closed down Textmaker then used Notes in PI with Write pad, then tried to load Textmaker... no dice.

I'm a ram hog but I suspect that if I loaded Pocket Informant into Ram instead of into BIS, I'd get better results. Might try that tomorrow.

I use Calli 8.3 (SD card), Textmaker 2002 (rev 406) (CF card) and latest PI 2007 (SD Card) without any problem whatsoever. I really don't think it is the problem with these softwares.

Yeah, I noticed that the WM5/X51v don't seem to have a problem with this combo.

Also, I'm using the latest version of SPB dairy. Could have something to do with it. I even tried PI 2005 and same thing.

Anyway, I guess I'll use phatnotes. It's what I need when it comes down to it. I loved the notes feature of PI though.

Hard to tell where I lost money. Was it in buying Pocket informant? Or was it buying Calligrapher? Gotta have calligrapher. Gotta have Textmaker. There is no alternative. I don't schedule all that much. Most is impromptu. Blackberry takes care of that.

So I guess it's bubbye to PI.
