beware - this is a long but true story

I used to own an SPV M1500 model phone/pda - which later crashed and ended up being faulty.

Before the crash - I managed to backup all my data - contacts etc to my SD card.

I have since purchased a new DELL AXIM X51 624MHZ PDA and have tried restoring my contacts to the new DELL but it wont let me ! it just keeps saying there is no data rto estore from.

The Dell PDA DOES recognise my SD card as i'm able to access my mp3 files etc but for some reason I cannot access my contacts because of the compatilibilty

MY previous SPV ran on windows 2003 mobile and the new DELL runs on Windows mobile 5.0

do i need some sort of software to convert from one to the other ?

where do i go ? how can i get access to my prvious contacts ?
