Using Getting rid of Calander messages

I have had this Mobile 2003 rubbish for about 2 yrs and finally have got the functionallity up to a the level of my old psion but to do this have had to buy Text Maker and On-schedule (Odyssey) this totally replaces MS Calander and contacts and runs from storage card and stores all files there and is a wonderful program. Now the final thing I want to do is get rid of the "no tasks" and "no upcoming appointment" messages off the standard opening screen as these are totally redundant. Any ideas how to do this.

Thanks

Easy when you know how! Thanks,
Is there any way of getting rid of the calander, tasks, Pocket Word, contacts icons the program folder also. I suspect not as these programmes are part of the operating system, but I want them to infect the machine as little as possible.

Thanks again
