I just got an Axim X50 with WM2003SE. Everything seems to be working fine EXCEPT Outlook. It will download my messages, which is fine, but it then deletes them from my ISP server, which is NOT fine. Also, I can't get it to send. It keeps telling me that all of my contact email addresses are "invalid". Does anyone know how to find the "Settings" for this mobile Outlook? Will someone please tell me how to fix these two problems? THANKS! Susan

lostwithMobile - Congratulations to your first post !
Make sure you use Outlook, not Outlook express - it won't sync with your axim. Also be sure that you have set the 'outgoing mail' to smtp.<providername>.com:<portnumber> like smtp.gmail.com:465 Welcome to the AximSite .

Outlook Settings
Thank you for responding.
I am using the Outlook that came with the X50; I would assume this is Outlook Mobile. I have Outlook 2003 on my laptop. They synch just fine -- that is not the problem. Outgoing mail is set to smtp. To be specific, "smtp.earthlink.net". Any other ideas?

Maybe I should be more specific about the deleted emails... I thought it happened when I downloaded. Apparently, it deletes from the server when I delete from the PDA. Is there a way to change this or should I just never delete from the PDA until I have the messages off the server where I want them?
As for the not sending thing, I am still stumped there...

Actually I don't use Outlook email (anymore) - still I have no problem with my email on my ax.
On my gmail POP-setup I have marked: 'Keep message on server' On my ax it's: 'Download headers only' and 'Include 16 kbytes' - that does it. Just wonder if you don't need a portnumber on your smtp ? .

Thanks!
I have no option of "keep message on server"... at least not one I can see. However, I will try "download headers only". That sounds promising. I don't need a port number on my laptop or my desktop... Given that, is there still a chance I would need one on the PDA? If so, where would I find it? (what do you use for email?)

"I have no option of "keep message on server"... at least not one I can see."
It's a Gmail setup option. "I don't need a port number on my laptop or my desktop... Given that, is there still a chance I would need one on the PDA?" Nope ... "(what do you use for email?)" The axim built-in with wifi ... Have a look - click here Option 3/3 select: 'Download headers only' and 'Included <whatever> kbytes' - I use 32kB Yes, Copenhagen DK .

Just wanted to let you know I finally got it working... Not sure how. Just erased all the settings and then re-entered the info. As far as I know, everything is the same as before... except that it works now.
Thanks for trying to help!
