Force program to be active

Does anyone know of a way to force a program to remain active at all times, even through a power cycle (unless I deactivate it)?

I have an X50 that is pretty much dedicated to running a single application, and every time I power up I have to go to settings, memory, running programs and activate the app. I would like my app to be running on powerup and skip the welcome screen.

As a side issue, is there a way to prevent multiple instances of a program from running if the app is too dumb to do it by itself?

Thanks!

Turn the Today timeout off. On WM2003 it is Start Settings Today Items.
