moving shell folders to SD card
I have the following issue with my Dell X5 A05 ROM English WM2003:
there are two area in the registry where shell folders are addressed: 1) HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Exp lorer\Shell Folders with the keys: Cache, Cookies and History When I change the value of e.g. Cache from the initial \WindowsProfiles\guest\Temporary Internet Files to \Storage Card\Cache after the folder cache was created on the SD Card and a soft reset was performed, indeed all temp internet files are created on the SD Card. Then I tried the same with the other area , 2) HKLM\Explorer\Shell Folders with the keys: Application Data Desktop Favorites My Documents Program Files Programs Recent StartUp I tried e.g. to change the value of Favorites from the initial \Windows\Favorites to \Windows\Favorites2 after the Favorites2 folder was first created. Then a soft reset was performed. But it doesn't help: all favorites still go to \Windows\Favorites What am I doing wrong? Or is it impossible? I need to redirect the My Documents folder to my SD Card since I have a program that needs big files in the my documents folder. It doesn't work either. Also, I do not need to synch. thanks Paul | ||||
