Could someone please post where/how to download or order the Mobile2003 upgrade? I'm having trouble finding any concrete answers on either this wonderful site or the Dell site. Thanks!

I believe I saw a post in the past couple days here somewhere that said they were beginning to ship the upgrade now.

I am looking/waiting for it too, from what I have found here you must order it by phone from Dell, can't order it online

I'd try 1-800-BUY-DELL or 1-800-WWW-DELL.

I just called Dell, and ordered the Mobile 2003 upgrade. It's only available for order over the phone. Costs around $30 and is backordered for quite a while. The order you place is considered a "preorder," since their estimated ship date (which was given to me today) is as late as October 24th. So have fun waiting :( and good luck!

I've only had my Ax about a month now, have not used it too much yet but have spent most of the time getting familiar with it and such. So I am in no rush to introduce another variable (WM 2003) ---- I read that it has some nice features and works better but so far I am running ok on PPC2002.

You'll find there are alot of great resources on this site, it has saved me a ton of time and frustration already.....:D

I've been calling Dell Canada weekly and as of last week, it was still not available. According to rumours, it's supposed to ship day after tomorrow (17 Sept)...

I ordered the upgrade in July, and when I found out that it wouldn't work well, I cancelled the order. On Sept. 09, Dell wrote me an email asking if I wanted the order. I told them they could keep it, I wasn't interested anymore, and attached the previous email that I sent telling them to cancel it. Today (Sept. 22), I received the upgrade and checked my credit card. The bast**** charged my card on the 20th and I will not receive credit until I ship it back and they receive it. I was thinking of keeping it, but after that kind of treatment, they can kiss my a**.

My 2003 upgrade disk arrived in NJ yesterday. I'm not in a real big hurry to install it because I know that my CF Wifi card will no longer work and I have little hope for finding new drivers. But, I do want to be prepared.

Is there an installation thread (which I am looking for but have not yet found) that has discussed the fine points and pit falls of installing 2003?? I do know that I have to make sure I have the install files and serial/activation numbers of all my installed 3rd party software (which will be somewhat of a pain to put together)......

I ordered the 2003PPC OS on Tues. 9/30 and I received it 10/3. I'm surprised everyone seems to have so much trouble. I just made a phone call. Came out to $34 and change.

I have a question! Can I install the wm2003 and then from active sync reinstall all my current programs etc... from the backup I just made. Or must I install all the programs etc... by hand again?
