If the upgrade was £22 (£19 + VAT) then I wouldn't conplain so much but the fact that myself and two other Axim owners rang up Dell customer "support" at the same time and were told three different things at the same time!!!!!

Why bother?

(And try to get a free upgrade out of Dell if you brought an Axim after 23rd of May!!!)

Hey Christine - have you ordered it - I've had an e-mailed invoice in pdf confirming my order has been processed and that the price is £31.73 inc delivery & VAT.

I am prepared to accept that Dell are unable to design a website which deducts delivery from some orders...

But this e-mail has been sent subsequently...anyway I've sent an e-mail and will await a response (sometime) in the meantime if/when I here I will let you know

I've now got a forecast delivery date for my upgrade - 3/7/2003 - (3rd July for our US friends).

Still no luck regarding the delivery charges, but at least I now know who my sales account manager is... I've emailed her about the confusion.... Still awaiting the reply...

Oh and Bernie, that Avatar of yours is well OTT... :p

Bernie, that Avatar of yours is as bad as that flippin' Pocket Solutions ad at the top of the page! ;)

What do you think of my chances of getting Dell to re-direct the delivery of the upgrade from my card-holders address to my work address????

As I understand it, Dell in the uk are only delivering to a registered card address.

It's kind of amusing, because I ordered my Axim from Dell New Zealand. I paid with my UK credit card, had the invoice address in Auckland, the delivery address in Wellington - and had no problems at all.
But you can't get WM2003 here yet - Dell in NZ don't even sell any accessories for the AXIM seperately.
