When I rang them (Dell) up, I had the same problems with Dell as Chriz had - all I did was point them to the webpage that the upgrade info is on, the rep read the info and then had no choice but to refund me £9.40 for the P&P....

Jon (the HappierCheesecake; assuming I ever get the upgrade!) C

Yeah, unfortunately we're all being told in different ways that we'll have to wait, just some of us hear a day at a time....maybe we won't be getting the upgrade any quicker than our friends across the pond!

Pretty sneaky goings on! My original delivery date was the 7th Jul. When I got to the 5th, it slipped to the 9th. Up until yesterday, it was still hanging in there but on looking at my order status today, it has moved to the 11th. Is this a game and will I ever catch up with the delivery date?
On another note, days ago I sent Customer Care two emails about the "free" delivery and even quoted the web order page script that has now been removed. Fast as the speed of light, NOTHING!
No wonder we are losing interest, I think Dell underestimated the number of customers who want this upgrade. Oh well!

It's not just the upgrade though. I ordered a keyboard a couple of days before I ordered wm2003, both delivery dates keep slipping back, despite the keyboard supposedly being in stock at the time of ordering.

One added bonus of all these delays is in posting lots of messages sharing the frustration, your count goes up and hey...I'm elite! (not that I'm bothered of course) lol!

I thought it was possible to get one of the (non-Dell branded) foldable keyboards off eBay.co.uk! :p

I brought the clip on thumb (no, it doesn't clip onto my thumb! ) keyboard - don't use it much apart from Excel work.

As for Dell - well why can't they give us a REAL delivery date and stop mucking us around with the ever-moving forecast date?

Dell? Are you listening? (probably not... )

:rolling: Too many smilies?! :D

Bernie, I have just made a monumental mistake by saving your "little man working hard" above as my tiled desktop! I now have 546 little men working hard all over my monitor!! You have a lot to answer for. As a punishment, you can work for DELL giving people false information!! (That's put my order back another couple of weeks but what the heck!).
Have a nice day
