I called Customer Care @ Dell Canada. I showed the guy the posting on the Dell forume. After he put me on hold serveral times, he told me that they are not offering the upgrade kit at
this moment. He told me to look for it @ the dell download site.
I am going to call back again in a few days...
Hopefully by then they will sort out the mess.

Damn - I was afraid of that. Thanks for checking. It seems that the communication between Dell Canada and Dell USA is quite poor. Their tech support uses different systems and different databases so troubleshooting an issue with their online email system has little effect when calling support in Canada.
I created a separate thread for Canadian Dell owners. If anything updates, please post in there. Thanks again!

My Ear Hurts
Jeez, I have been on the phone with Dell for over 3 hours now and have yet to get my order for the WM2003 upgrade placed.
Sure the customer service reps were nice and all, but they arent going to be paying my freakin' phone bill at the end of the month (I am in the US Army stationed overseas, 800 numbers aren't exactly free).
After being transferred to just about every department Dell has, I get told that they will contact me via email and the phone disconnects...
Why hath thou forsaken me Dell!!!!!!!

Has anyone in the UK news of the upgrade?
I phoned Dell UK but but was informed that they aren't offering the upgrade yet.

Steve I phoned too after getting the run around, dude at dell sales said that there is no free update, however I will ring again regarding that tomorrow, and he said that it is not available in europe yet and said he cannot tell me when it will be realeased (nice of him)

Steve, just phoned again, I think he's pissed off, put the phone down on me LOL
said that it will be available in 3-4 weeks and at first said there is NO FREE upgrade, then I quoted a passage from the dell rep off their forums, and he said I will qualify for the free update :crooked: and to phone customer care as part sales dont do it and then put the phone down on me LOL
I wonder if the 30days will start when it's released in the UK :S

If you don't want to wait on the phone for what seems to be hours, order your upgrade online and get 10% discount. I did but of course will not ship until 7/24... Better than dealing with someone on the phone.

Not sure if you've noticed but the upgrade is now available on the Dell UK Web site priced at £22.33.
Not sure if the shipping times are valid though...
