After skimming through the Dell forums, people reported that the upgrade will take 21 days to ship and would arrive at your doorstep around JULY 22. Not June but JULY. Does Dell really expect people to wait that long for a shipping package? Seriously.

If it was June 22 anyway, it would be a year to wait since today is the June 23rd. Just thought I'd point that out. besides, we waited this long. I can wait longer. Gives more time for others to work out any bugs.

Still though, an entire MONTH to wait for pre-paid software, makes poor guys like me cry at the site of more bills to pay

You don't have to order it until July 22nd. It won't get here any faster. Save you money and order it then...

Very true, but as I said, there is no reason to order it until July 22nd. They will all ship out the same day.

You all know how Dell is. They always over estimate their ship dates. I saw in another thread that someone was quoted a ship date of a week away. AlphaWolf is right, you wont get billed until it ships.

Depends on the how you pay, I used my Dell Preferred account, they charged my account today.

As far as the shipping date is concerned, I would be willing to bet it ships a lot sooner. I think they are just being cautious in case the number of orders get's too big to handle.

I ordered mine early today got the 7/22/03 or before now they are saying 7/29/03. That means they are filling orders to a quantity and moving the dates a week back as they are filled... I guess that means if you are thinking about it better get on the band wagon or take a chance your order will not ship until Xmas <g>
