Windows Mobile 2003: Upgrade

Thought I'd start this new thread for tips and tricks on the installation of the new Windows Mobile 2003 OS.

As I've stated before, I'll wait and see the various posts (here, on this thread?) as to the success of the upgrade and the benefits of the new OS prior to installation on my Axim.

I did call Dell this morning and did order the upgrade. It's 29.95 plus shipping (came to a total of 34.75) and the part number for the upgrade is 310-4214. Dell anticipates a ship date of 7/23 or sooner!

I'll have the two-disk Dell upgrade disks and wait and see how it goes for everyone!

Let the upgrade madness begin!

I'll install it as soon as mine arrives. I do not plan to install McAfee antivirus at this time.

If something goes wrong with the install can you install it again? I guess this would be a question for those that upgraded from ppc2000 to ppc2002. I'm worried that the upgrade will fail for some reason and I'll have to wait for a replacement. I'm planning on backing up individual files and then hard reseting before the install, just in case.
