WM2003 Upgrade for Small Business orders?

I just got off the phone with customer care, trying to get the free upgrade (ordered 6/15) to WM2003, and was told that the free upgrade was for Dell Home orders only, and that there is no info regarding free upgrades for Dell Small Business orders at this time.

I asked her about returning the Axim I recently ordered (and hasn't even arrived yet :( ), and perhaps exchanging for one with 2003 preloaded, and was told that I would be charged a restocking fee of 15%.

Has anybody with a Dell Small Business ordered Axim gotten the free upgrade? If so, how did you do it?

I also, got the same response ,i.e., no decision yet for free upgrade to small business orders. CSR told me to call back in couple of days.

I just got off the phone with them. Mine was purchased through Dell Small Buisness on 5/23 with an invoice date of 5/30. He asked if I orderd it through home or SB and I told him SB. After being on hold for a while, he finally said that I was eligable and that he was filling out the information for the order. He then told me that he placed the order and I should have it in 7 to 10 days. This kind of contradicts what I have seen on this forums about wait time. He also told me that he did not have an order number yet as it was still going through the system. He also assured me that there would be no charges or fees for the upgrade. I just checked on the Order Status page on Dell's site and I don't see an order number yet. If I don't see one in a few days, then I will give them another call to get an update. I think it's kind of strange how they are handling this.

it IS strange how this is being handled....they (Dell) knew 2003 was coming out and it would seem that they had plenty of time to get their act together with these details when people started calling with these questions. They need a standardized way of answering these types of upgrade questions. I've said this before in another thread awhile back....there's a chance that if you talked to 10 different CSR's it is possible to get 10 different answers. I hope you do get the order number/confirmation for the update...and don't forget to jot down the names of the people who assist you and all of the information they tell you.
GOOD LUCK.
