Hi,

I am having a problem sending appointments via blutooth with my Axim and was wonderng if someone could help me out.

When I open my calendar, tap an appointment, and then tap tools typically (like on my other PDA) I should see "Send via Bluetooth" option along with "Beam Appointment"; however, only the latter (Beam Appointment) is present.

Has anyone ever seen this or know of how I can beam an appointment via bluetooth?

Beaming function is for IR and BT.

Make sure the receiving end's BT is on & discoverable. When you choose beam (with your axim's BT on), the ppc will search for the BT device. This may take a bit of time. Once it's found, you can beam via BT.

That is interesting. I wonder if he ever knew people a thousand years later would be fretting over a technology named after him.

So anyone have an idea to help me resolve my probelm?

You should still be able to beam using bluetooth (BT). Did you try the beam option and wait for the axim to search for the other bluetooth device? When you choose beam, you'll get two options (1) Infrared (2) Searching. The "Searching" is the axim searching for other BT signals.

Do you have WM2003 or WM5? If you have WM5, you can consider replacing its MS stack with the Widcomm stack from this site. You'll have the "Send via Bluetooth" option with that.

Well some will be concerned that a person of peace was being offered up as technology. Would the Irish do this to St. Patrick?

To some this was an honor to others it has been quite painful. Perhaps he did not want to be “famous”.

(About King Bluetooth, I'm sure he didn't become a viking king, NOT to get famous! He did make all the "tribes" around the southern Baltic Sea to communicate, and united them in one kingdom. So that is the story behind the name of the technology, that makes all kinda gadgets communicate.)

I am using WM2003. When I tap "Tools" I can either "Beam Appointment" or "Delete Appointment". So when I choose "Beam Appointment" It says "To beam, select a device. Infared....Align Ports" Then grayed out it says "Searching". My bluetooth is enabled and connect to another bluetooth enabled PDA. I can recieve appointments from the other PDA but I can't send them.

Lorrbore, I tried searching like you were suggesting but nothing came up (it was grayed out).

Zumpen, I check out that other posting but the suggestions there didn't help me out.

I appreciate all your help. If you have any ideas let me know.
