problems since upgrading to WM2003

Tonight I upgraded my X5 400 mhz from WM2002 to WM2003. Now the X5 cannot be turned off. What did I do wrong?

Can't be turned OFF? Almost sounds like you accidentally set the lock switch (does the M5 have one of those?). If so, just make sure you didn't slide it into position. Otherwise, try doing hard-reset again before putting your stuff back on.

X5 doesn't have lock switch.

I had X5 300mhz which I had gotten from eBay; I turned it on and it wouldn't turn off, I just took off the battery and laid it aside. Few hours later I decided to see if I could fix it, put the battery back in and it works. Try soft reset, if it doesn't work, then hard reset, if not, then take the battery out for 15-30 minutes and see if that help.
