My apologies to all Americans / Japanese and anyone else I have offended

I must apologise for starting this anti-american sentiment. I didn't mean it to cover up what my actual complaint is . ie the fact that americans not only can get free upgrades/or get the software at nearly 1/2 the price us brits are expected to pay.

So my sincere apologies for any anti american sentiments-It was not meant to offend but rather meant in a pythonesque way.

And are there any lawyers out there that could comment on my posting about Microsofts site saying that companies who offer upgrades can supply free upgrades for people who bought after 23rd May

I am hoping in a few days Dell will get it's act together. Most CSR's still don't even know what Windows Mobile 2003 is, let alone free upgrades, cost of upgrades, where they are avail. etc.

I know that some screw ball bean counter type's might find a way to justify treating The US different because it's a bigger market than the UK. I do not agree with that opinion...The whole world is still the biggest market place of all.

Same boat in Canada. Even after the currency exchange the prices in Canada are much higher ( $50 for the basic and $100 for the Advanced) . I finaly ordered mine anyway on teh 18th , shipped on the 21st. so it looks like I'll be in the same fight to get the upgrade as the rest of you. Sad as it is, I'm allready expecting lackluster support and service from Dell Canada.

Dell Belgium now has this link:

Looks like the part number is 750-10356

€35.09 is a bit much...
