PPC2003 in Australia ?

I called DELL Australia to find out about the Win Mobile 2003 upgrade, and no one there knows anything. (I have a feeling that the number I call is being outsourced to Singapore or somewhere in Asia.) I was transferred to 5 people, none of who could be of any use, tech support, sales, some other people. They all told me to talk to my sales person who I purchased the Axim off.
The Aussie website already has Axim's shipping on June 30, with Win Mobile 2003. I was told to call back on that date to find out about the upgrade. Called back on June 30th, and was put on hold for 30 minutes whilst being transferred to USA as it would seem.
I also read DELL Aust, return policy, which is only 15 days from invoice. My DELL took 14 days for delivery, so I can't return and get the latest one. :hide:
All my questions are too technical for DELL Australia at the moment. :crooked:
Anyone else in Australia had any contact with DELL regarding the upgrade?

Yep I did the same, called DELL Australia (I'm in Ballarat, VIC) then realised the monkeys on the other end of the line hadn't progressed to the abacus let alone hand-held computer!

Australia Dell support is outsourced to India (I think)..if I could I would ring US Dell support, they at least know what an Axim is.

I received a phone call from Dell AP customer support [now that's an oxymoron Dell Customer Support] to say that they are not offering the upgrade CD to PPC2002 axim owners.

I asked if it would be available in the future and they said they would contact me if that was the case.

Seems like management has made their decision!!!!!

I think DELL is waiting for us to go away. Soon it'll be Win2004 that we'll have to wait on :) At least my PPC2002 is still functioning, my friend's viewsonic died already after only 5 months. The fight continues down under for Win 2003.!!!
