Looks like MortScript might be the way to go... That way, I won't need an FTP server on my PC.

Just have to figure it out now -- anyone have any experience using MortScript and xcopy to go from network share?

Hey, it works!

Use WakeApp to trigger a mscr script file that copies from the network to my SD card.

The trigger I used in WakeApp was the end of data syncrhonization.

SO... When I get home every day, all I have to do is plug in the Axim to power, and at 2AM, I have active sync scheduled to run over wifi to my desktop... ActiveSync doesn't actually sync any files, but as soon as activesync says it's finished synchronizing, it kicks off the script on the PPC that copies the files from my network share to my SD card without using Activesync. It copies MUCH faster now, and works perfectly! -

because I want everything to happen on the PDA side without using card readers or activesync... It's not that I'm lazy, it's just that I know without the simplicity of just plugging in the power to my axim when I get home, I won't bother to use it, or will end up forgetting about it.
