Mobile 2003 benchmarks

People are just now getting their new Axims with Pocket PC 2003 or the new iPaq 2215. I think it would be a good idea to organise Mobile 2k3 benchmarks into one thread. I hope to go to CompUSA sometime this week (if I have time) and bring my CF card to test some emulator framerates on the new iPaq and Toshiba. If anyone has benchmarks for 2k3 please post them here!

I went into CompUSA several days ago and the salesman was kind enough to let me slip in my SD card to their demo HP 2210 unit. I was able to try out PocketSNES running FF3(6). The framerate stayed consistently at 30 fps, but I couldn't figure out how to activate sound. :(

The 2210 has a great D-pad for games--better than the Axim's. But it's buttons are so small and hard to push that I don't see it as a better gaming device. Plus all the controls are so close to the bottom of the unit that I imagine it may be harder to keep a good grip on it while playing an intense game. I'm actually glad the Axim has more "room" at the bottom of the unit to make it easier to hold when only using the hardware controls.

I took my CF card to CompUSA today to try out the new iPaq and Toshiba. Unfortionately, I forgot to put my SNES emulator on the card (doh!). I tested PocketNES on both of the machines and it seemed fater on the Toshiba. I can only say seemed faster because the version of PocketNES I was using didn't have an FPS display. It was also an old beta. If I have time, I'll go back this weekend with my SNES emulator and test that. Can't wait for Mobile 2k3 for my Axim!

Someone here said they played snes at 25-30 fps w/ sound on here. on axim that is.
