Free upgrade?? WHAT free upgrade?!

I've been on hold with Dell for 1 hour, only to be transfered 6 times, and disconnected twice, then asked if my Axim was purchased between 5/23, and 6/22 (which it was), then told that the software was not free. This is really bugging me. Can anyone clear up the confusion?? I thought Dell had excellent customer service! I'd hate to see what POOR customer service was!

If you did purchse it between those dates, it should be free.

They are supposed to have excellent customer service, but many of us have yet to see it. And yes, the upgrade is free if you purchased after 5/23. From what I have read on the board, you have to wait til after 7/15 to order (dunno why, though).

Dell in the U.S. is probably having difficulty obtaining more licences and/or copies for other reasons.

I would say contact Dell Customer Sales at 1-800-915-3355. They should be able to verify that you deserve the free upgrade in their system if you purchased the Axim through them.

i didnt see anything in that press release above about a free upgrade for existing axim customers.
