pocketpc 2003 upgrade for dell axim x5 is out on e-donkey?

there is this file : Dell Axim Pocket Pc 2003 Rom Upgrade (REAL)!!!! No Password {{VASH}}.zip which seems to be the real upgrade for axim x5

has anybody tried it out yet?

Hmm

Hhhmmm...when it sounds too good to be true...it usually is. Given MS history on OS releases and Dell ironclad response...I would be very suspicious about any hacked downloads...

I despire e-donkey. It loads all kinds of stuff on your PC. I always wonder about security with that application.

Kinda scary, but I am running on a temporary hard drive(it's empty except for windows and activesync, virus scan, firewall), so I'll risk it :D

I saw a file claiming to be the MS Mobile 2003 upgrade for the Dell Axim and it was a password protected .zip that only contained A03 rom. It was a fake posted in the alt.binaries.warez.windowsce newsgroup.

My guess is that the moderators of this forum don't take kindly to discussions of warez'ing MS Mobile 2003 so it's probably best to take this discussion to other locations. ;)

but this file from e-donkey seems to be the correct upgrade file for the axim
