I know that is a dumb subject because based on megahertz the 400, of course is faster. I just read the thread "Win Mobile not too bad" and I was relieved a bit. Could the 300MHz version accually process Windows faster than 400MHz? A thought might be that the RAM in the 400 may be abudant but is worse quality than the 300 because of compacting memory. That was just a random thought. Reply all!

Unless the 300 has PPC2002 and the 400 has WM2003 - in which case the slower machine is faster

Not true - not for me...im one of the "lucky" ones - My Ax with PPC2003 are faaaaaast!

tokyoboy, is it fast across the board? how is media player and pocketmvp performance? any slowdowns openinng any apps? (e.g. word). if you wake it up from sleep mode how long does it take?

PoketMVP dosen't support PPC2003 100%, not yet!

Opening apps: ex Word - max 0.5 sec
Wake up from sleepmode: 0.0- 0.1 sec ( it's true)

I have not encounter any lags, slowdown, whatever - even if i have several apps running!

I don't know why my PPC2003 are stable?

I hope my replacement unit wil have the same performance ( i have to replace it due to sound trouble)

(ps: i downloaded Spb Benchmark, and my Ax are soooo much faster then Aximsites testmachine )

My 300 is also going a helluva lot faster than some people have been reporting their 400s. My times are in the mentioned thread and I have to agree that it sure looks like we 300MHZ owners are better off then others.

I'm not saying that WM2003 is mint on my device by any means. Certain things do take way longer than they should, and I've seen some problems that people have talked about on their 400s. Things like the ghosting problem in Jawbreaker, and the slow start menu. But the file access speeds and overall performance are much better than what I've seen so far.
