Processor speed settings and WM2003 slowdown

To those who have experienced slowdown with WM2003 Axims:

I'm curious about where your Xscale processor "speed setting" is set.

If it is on "auto," it may be throttled down to 200 mHz most of the time (since the Axim thinks it's not really doing all that much) and that may be too slow to really handle WM2003 properly.

Setting it to your max. speed (300 or 400 mHz) may clear things up. Anyone tried it?

Like most of us, I'm still waiting for my upgrade and can't check things for myself :)

I don't think this is the issue. It can't account for the severe performance decrease. Plus, there are some areas where performance has increased (graphics benchmark i believe is one).

My Processor is set at 400, just to get around the decrease in performance. Still, it runs slower, much slower, than the iPaq 3650 I am replacing... it is starting to get agitating...
