Windows XP includes options for alternative language input such as Japanese, etc. I was wondering if anyone know whether the new Windows Mobile OS had that capability.

If not, do you know if the recently announced Japanese version of Windows Mobile can be installed on the Axim V?

If all this fails, I have a third question: Is there a seperate downloadable IME for Japanese available for Windows Mobile?

Wow, I know, lots of questions! I would appreciate any help.

I would assume that there would be no issues with putting the Japanese version on the Axim. As for the other two questions, I would have no clue and leave them to someone else.

I could well be wrong, but I think I read somewhere that installing a ROM from another language would toast it. But that may just be ROM update, not new OSs. Or the post I read could have been wrong too... Either way I'd even consider asking a few different sources at Dell.

I'm not sure. I was thinking that he already has a Japanese PPC 2002 and wants to know about upgrading to 2003. If that isn't what he was talking about then I have no clue if it would work.
