Duh. I totally overlooked that one. One of those things you never really use.
Version 3.0.11171 (Build 1178).
Anyone have a translation from "real" versions to "marketing" versions?
That is, as with XP, Build 2600=Windows XP.
Thanks again.

I'm running version 3.0.11171 (build 11178). It runs just fine, I guess I'll wait till the fall to upgrade to 2003. Maybe all the bugs and querks will be worked out.
Besides, I'm just learning all the neat things I can do with my Ax....

As for ..

Now that is misleading ... for Pocket PC the builds may be linked but win 3.1/9x/nt/xp each has a separte build base and as such each has a separte build number.
In fact although WinXP as first shipped may have been 2600.0 at one point it's currently at 2600.1160 for XP with SP1. Win NT most certainly runs on different code base and normally it's numbers go up in whole numbers during each SP not just through decimals although the end result is the same.
Just think of the nightmare trying to get every M$ software under one numbering scheme their would be chaos.

Did anyone pay attention to Snerdly's post? I think that might have some merit..... Is it possible?
It should be, I think.

I'm surprised to read replies from people putting down a guys English. Obviously English is not the native language of the person in question. But he can at least get by on English and speak his native language as well.
I wonder how many languages the people laughing at his English abilities speak?
My guess is one.
It is a big world out there.

That is a lot of languages. Where I live in the States, we had the opportunity to take German, French and Spanish in Middle and High School. But in my case, the teachers were not that good, so we did not learn much.
My wife is Japanese so I have learned a little Japanese. Our Kids speak fluent Japanese, English and my son is also taking French in school.
I just returned from Japan, my wife and kids are still there, they spend five weeks every summer there going to school.
