I received my Axim X5 300 last night, with 2003 13100 on it.

So far I don't see too many problems. MP3's play fine, start menu pops up fairly quickly. There are some moments when things are slow, but not so slow as to be unusable.

I also purchased the TrueMobile 1180 WiFi, and it took me about 5 minutes to get it up and running. Then it was off to the front porch to surf the internet...a little slow, but still usable. Now, I just need to purchase Resco and I can start streaming MP3's...

No complaints from this Axim owner! A patch would be nice to speed things up... but I am also running on Auto, maybe I will try Normal for the rest of the day, and see if the MINOR slow downs are still present.

Encode a Video to WMV format, copy it to the Ax and then tell me it's minor. I can't watch my pr0n at such low fps

In all seriousness there is a slow down and it's all to do with file access times and data transfer speeds by the "feel"of it. Go into the Windows Folder and use the slider to scroll through the list of files in there. It'll struggle quite a lot to keep up.
