2003 DownUnder - not!

Consider yourselves lucky to be having problems with 2003!

We in Australia (and I think South East Asia) are not allowed to have the 2003 upgrade! Dell Australia don't offer it and won't even admit it exists, at any price.

We also don't get any accessories on our dell.com.au website so we can't buy them! I have been trying to get a price out of them for the high capacity battery and a spare USB cable and they don't even reply to emails or phone calls.:rolling:

When I ordered my Axim 400, i ordered at the same time the larger capacity battery and had no problems.
This order was placed on 29th June via the web

When you want to buy something try posting in the classifieds thread. If you really want to get something you might even be able to have somebody in the US buy it and ship it to you if you pay for everything...

I just recently purchased the new Axim X5 PPC2003 400Mhz,
and i must say i couldnt believe how quickly it got delivered!
I placed the order online on July 3 and it arrived on the July 9,
now thats fast! It's my first ever experience dealing with Dell and i cant fault them on delivery speed. Sure mines got the issues that everyones talking about, but thats another story ;)
Who is slow is Belkin, cant even say/acknowledge on there webiste that there may be issues with there wi-fi CF cards and PPC2003.

Don't try to order another one! You can't order one unless it is with a new Axim.

Bye the bye, how much was it?? No-one I can get to talk to at Dell seems to know they exist, let alone the price!

Mine took over 2 weeks, they couldn't tell my what was happening and drove me nuts.

I have issues with a Belkin Wi-Fi card and 2002! It won't work.

yeah, im amazed it took 6 days!. its pretty neat,
my first PDA, had a eBookman before that, not used to the rocker being on the left and half way down the unit, on the ebookman it was on the righ hand side which seemed to make sense for me since im right handed and hold the unit with my left hand and tap away with the right. But cant compare otherwise :) looking forward to the patch release, as for Belkin, thanks for that bit of info. Seems like theyre not too concerned in replying to customers queries.
