2003 and hard reset?

Easy question....
When this patch comes out and hopefully works wonders does this mean if I have to ever do a gard reset I will have to flash the Axim again with the patch?
If so it might just bew better to send this one back under my 30 days and get a new one.

the patch will be in the form of a ROM update, a ROM update = a hard reset but the hard reset is software controlled and you dont push the hard reset button. During this type of a hard reset, the axim needs to be connected to your PC and the patch that dell releases will update the axim's firmware through the activesync connection, while performing a hard reset.

In my opinion, its not worth sending it back because you have to do a ROM update, either way you lose data you havent backed up. It's not worth the hassle of a return and getting a new one over waiting maybe 10 minutes to do your ROM update. Each has its own risks.

It may well be safer to send it back.

If an Axim owner attempts to flash his PPC with the upgrade and it fails and knackers it, who's fault does it become?

I had a spongy D-Pad so had an excuse to get a replacement.
