.avi player for WM2003?

PMVP turns up an audio error in WM2003 when opening .avi files, and refuses to play them. Has anyone come up with a solution to this?

If not, are there any .avi players that work? (Is this a WM2003+axim problem or a PMVP problem? WM2003 Ipaq users?;) )

heeeeeeeeelp

I have the very same problem. No one (even on the tech support side) seem to have any idea of how to fix it or why it might be happening. I've had folks tell me that I'm making my avi's incorrectly, but I'm pretty certain that that's not it. My solution was to convert my avi files to wmv files for the time being and wait for MVP or PocketDivX to come out with new versions.

Best,
Erik

Yes! First, the file that was given (the exe file) is the file that you actually invoke to start it up... it replaces the other MVP exe file.

The settings that I used for my movie were a bit choppy (even after a reset). Still, it's watchable! I suppose that it will be even more so once Dell fixes the speed setting. The file is 320x190ish (16:9) at 300 kbps and around 24 fps. Audio at 64 kbps/22khz. I think that I could reduce the audio and still have fine reproduction and I'll cut the kbps... the file was around 230MB. It's actually playing pretty nicely from the onboard speaker, which I can't say for every audio file.

Thanks again for the link,
Erik
